The teachers have observed some of our friends interests: stacking, building, dramatic play and classifying objects. We have added materials to our learning environment to encourage and extend these interests. A classroom goal is to support children in entering play, interacting with friends and developing social skills. The teachers model and use language to express this goal-Oh it looks like you want to play with____, let’s ask if we can join? or It looks like you want to play with, it looks like she playing with babies, would you like a baby as well?
